Clear Ears – Review & Giveaway (closed)
Water in your ears can be plain annoying and cause problems. Clear Ears are water absorbing ear plugs that absorb extra water in your ears. Made by Cirrus Health Care, they are easy to use and are even environmentally friendly.
Pros: Clear Ears are small and moldable, and easy to insert. They are about the width of my pinkie, and about an inch long. To use, you simply put one in each ear, and keep them in for 5-10 minutes. They will absorb excess water due to:
- swimming
- showering
- bathing
They are safe for kids and adults, and are alcohol free. I actually don’t have a problem with water getting in my ears, but my husband Marshall does. Anytime he showers or swims he gets a lot of water in his ears which causes discomfort. He was excited when we got the ClearEars and was really impressed with how well they work. He used them after showering and could tell that all excess water was gone in about 5 minutes.
I am also excited to use these on Rowan after we go swimming, but haven’t done so yet. He is prone to ear infections. Swimming usually makes his infections worse, so we’ve been really conscious not to let him get water in his ears when we go.
One feature of Clear Ears that I thought was really cool is the fact that they are Earth Friendly. They are made from a material that is safe and non toxic. After their one time use, you can cut them up and add to soil or house plants to help them retain moisture. Isn’t that cool?
These also come in a nice little carrying case which is compact and convenient.
Cons: I think this product is well thought out and it really has worked well for my husband. The only Con that I can possibly think of is the fact that they are one time use, which means they can get expensive if you use them often as they are just over $1.00 a pair.
The Bottom Line: Water absorbing ear plugs that are easy to use. Earth friendly too!
Price: $6.99 for a 5 pack or $11.99 for a 10 pack

Clear Ears would be great for my husband of daughter. They both get waters in their ears when they go swimming.

I would like to win these because my son always gets water in his ears and when it doesn’t come out, I have to take him to the doctor. These will prevent a doctor’s visit.

I’d love to try it on my little one when he goes swimming. We’ve been pretty lucky so far with his ears however if we can prevent any ear infections by using something like this we’d like to give it a try!

Fantastic idea! My husband is forever having ear/water issues and with the ear infections my son has had, he may have the same problems.

This would be great for my daughter who likes to swim but does not like water in her ears!
[Reply]
I’d love to use these because I believe that by using them and having the excess water absorbed in my sons ears it may reduce the frequency of ear infections.

I’ve been swimming a lot during the summer, and you have no idea how annoying to having water in your ear every single time. Even when taking showers. Getting water out is the hard part. These would be great.
