TNT is no stranger to great tv, and with some great new seasons and series that have just begun, there is bound to be something for everyone.  As a recap, here’s what went down with new seasons this last week:

rtb-ph-art-streiber Raising The Bar – Mondays 10pm

This summer, court will be back in session for one of cable’s most popular dramas, TNT’s RAISING THE BAR. This emotionally powerful legal drama from Emmy®-winning producer Steven Bochco stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue),Gloria Reuben (ER) and Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle).  The series follows the cases and lives of young lawyers who work on opposite sides – the public defender’s office and the district attorney’s office – as well as those who sit in judgment on their cases. Bochco and lawyer/writer David Feige (author of Indefensible) created the show, which comes to TNT from ABC Studios and Bochco Media, with Bochco serving as executive producer and Feige as supervising producer.  RAISING THE BAR is set to return on Monday, June 8, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

 

The Closer – Mondays 9/8c

the-closer-501_9-jon-tenney-kyra-sedgwick-ph-karen-neal-17826_1222_rIt’s going to be a year of change for Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson and her Major Crimes unit as TNT’s THE CLOSER returns for its fifth season.  The record-breaking crime drama, which stars Golden Globe® winner Kyra Sedgwick, continues to dominate the industry as ad-supported cable’s #1 series of all time.  THE CLOSER’s fifth season is set to premiere Monday, June 8 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT.
