silhouette of a young womanI am ecstatic about how fast Babes and Kids is growing.  Believe it or not, it’s a TON of work and so I went looking for the best of the best to help do some guest posting on the site.

Without further ado, I want to introduce you to….my sisters!  That’s right, my two awesome older sisters Jeralee and Avry have agreed write as guest posters and I couldn’t be more excited.

Want to get to know them a bit ?  Good, because you are going to :) Please give them a big welcome, and any comment love you want to share would be appreciated!

Jeralee
profile-picture1I am a 36 year old mother of two girls, married for 15 years and living in the Pacific Northwest. I am primarily a stay at home mom and spend my days hauling my 9 year old, the aspiring future Olympic athlete, to swim practices and wading through homework with kids.

I am a professional harpist with a degree in music and freelance, playing for weddings, open houses and other functions. I also teach harp and piano lessons privately. My interests include, gardening, knitting & crocheting, home improvement, and a brief 4 year stint as an amateur boxer.

I also am parenting an 8 year old child with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, primarily – Sensory Processing Disorder, Communication Disorders and Learning Disabilities. I love to learn and read as much on topics that help better me as a person, or make my family’s life just a bit easier.

Avry
avryI am a 33 year old wife to Justin & mother to Kaden, Savanna, Maeli & Samantha.

Kaden (age 13) & Maeli (age 9) are my children from a previous marriage while Savanna (age 11) & Samantha (age 8 ) are my step children from my husbands previous marriage. My husband and I have all four children full time so it keeps us busy! Blending families has been one of my greatest challenges but it too has been one of my greatest rewards.

I work out of the home full time doing accounting for a company in Salt Lake. Between 4 children & working outside of the home I keep very busy! I am also a liscensed Cosmetologist although at this time I do not practice in a salon many friends and family keep me up to date on letting me do their hair!

I enjoy running, crafting, reading & gardening in my spare time. I enjoy decorating for each holiday & love to try new ideas & reciepes.
