We are still plugging along with the potty training. Chan actually does really well and has been pretty much trained for quite a while now, but we struggle with accidents occasionally. I guess this is normal, but it’s always nice to have other options to try. We received Potty Pony Pals, which is a potty training system about a little horse. It uses visuals to help teach potty training.

Pros: The kit comes with 2 pair of cotton organic underwear and a 10 minute dvd. Potty Pony is imprinted inside each pair of underwear. Your child watches the dvd, and then you introduce them to the underwear. The point is for your child to keep Potty Pony dry. I explained it all to Chandler and it seemed to click. I reiterated many times that he needed to keep the Pony dry. Cute and funny concept.
The underwear are nice and thick, are super soft and wash up really well. They are an organic cotton, and one size fits all. At 3 1/2, Chandler is about 38 lbs and 39″ tall. The underwear fit him really well, and he still has a little room to grow.
We are still having occasional accidents, but it seems like Chan is more aware of Potty Pony and is actually having less accidents when we are out and about.

Cons: The dvd seemed a bit strange to me when I watched it at first. Potty Pony actually has a bit of a lisp which I didn’t care for. I don’t want Chandler picking that up. I’m also not a big fan of the animation used in the video, but I guess if Chandler likes it, that’s what matters.
I’d like to see the underwear offered in different sizes and styles. The outside of the underwear have spots on them, and while it’s a cute design, it would be nice to have options. I also think these would be a big and bulky on smaller children learning to potty train, so I think this is where it would be good to have different sizes available.

The Bottom Line: Visual Potty Training method using a horse, dvd, and organic cotton underwear.
