Go Picnic – Review & Giveaway (closed)
Meals on the Go
Go, go, go! That seems to be the motto of life and things never seem to slow down around our home. This summer has been really busy between work, taking the kids to activities, family reunions, and vacation. As moms, aren’t we always looking for products that make our life seem a little more convenient? GoPicnic does just that. From their website:
GoPicnic creates the highest quality, best tasting ready-to-eat meals that are exceptionally convenient and require no refrigeration or special preparation – you can truly enjoy them anytime, anywhere!
Every GoPicnic meal is ready to eat right from the box, just grab a drink and enjoy one of our delicious, nutritious meals today. GoPicnic meals come in many varieties, including full meals, kids meals, and quick snackboxes.
Pros: These meals are really convenient. We were able to sample the Safari Munch, Go Trek, and Explore Munch. Each of these meals comes with at least 5 products, and start at just $4.99 which makes them a great value. They don’t require refrigeration so they are great to throw in a diaper bag. I also think these would be great in a 72 hour survival kit. We have a 72 hour kit for each of our family members which has basic necessities. I am going to be buying some of these for our kits.
The kid’s meals have a fun design inside of the box and even come with a temporary tattoo, which Chandler loved. GoPicnic offers so many meals, many of them are gluten free and kosher. The packaging is cute which encourages your kids to eat, and the shipping is quick. Plus, it’s that much more convenient to order these online and have them delivered directly to your door
I also really appreciate that the nutrition facts are on each page, so you can see exactly what is in a meal before you decide to purchase it. The explore munch has baked snap pea crisps which were a huge hit with both my boys. I like knowing that my boys think they are a treat and they are good for them at the same time.
Cons: Because these are a prepackaged food, the sodium is a bit on the high end. I assume this is to help preserve the food. I also didn’t care for how the cheese tasted, I prefer a refrigerated cheese. The price might be also kicker for some. Some meals are priced at $6.99 and when you are on a budget, it’s hard to justify spending this on one person.
However, if you use discount code GPMOMS at checkout, you get 20% off, and also get free shipping with a $99 order, so now would be a great time to stock up.
The Bottom Line: Convenient, ready to go meals.
Price: Prices start at $4.99
