Mutsy

Submitted by admin on August 12, 2009 – 5:11 pm3 Comments

mutsy grow upI am NOT  a high chair fan.  We’ve always had to optimize the most of our space in our dining room, so my boys have always been in some type of booster seat.  The Mutsy Grow Up booster recently found it’s way into our home, and I really like the versatility as well as the fashion forward style.

More about the Mutsy Grow Up Chair
The most stylish seat at the table for baby. Mutsy’s Grow-Up! booster seat allows baby to sit in the average grown up chair safely and comfortably. Grow-Up! features a clever harness to ensure baby is securely fastened. The easy to clean, easy to transport seat is ideal from when baby can sit unaided to approximately 4 years of age.

Pros: This is the first booster seat I’ve felt like my boys have had that is comfortable. Everything else has been cheap and a very hard plastic. You can push down on the seat and it has a lot of give to it.
The seat is very easy to take apart and wipes down wonderfully, which is a must have when you have little kids.
I also like that with the Musty Grow Up, you have the option to strap your child in with a 5 point harness. This seems like it would be a great idea for smaller kids, but feel like Rowan doesn’t need it at 18 months. It allows your child to sit up to the table, which in turn helps them to feel more a part of the meal.
Lastly, I appreciate how lightweight it is. My sister watched my kids a few weeks back and we took the Mutsy Grow Up to her house. It was incredibly easy to take along.

Cons: When you first open up the Musty Grow Up, read the directions! All of the straps can seem daunting at first. I pulled it out of the box and just looked at it, but once I figured out where all of the straps went, it made perfect sense to me.
It also took a bit of work to get all of the straps out to clean them, and I couldn’t get all of them out for that matter. When I have a booster, I like to be able to throw all of the straps in the washing machine, it makes clean up a lot easier. Overall, I really like the Musty Grow Up, but think this would be one improvement that would be great.

A tremendous value, the Transporter has a very deep and padded seat to be comfortably used by infants from 3 months through 55 lbs. The reclining seat and large, protective hood create a serene environment for napping. A footrest provides comfort for an older child, and the convenient shopping basket is standard. An optional bassinet and maxi cosi car seat adaptor are available for newborn comfort and safety. This sporty 4 wheeler is characterized by its ease of operation, a height adjustable push bar and its extremely compact volume when folded. This stroller is also extremely flexible and manoeuvrable on account of 2 front swivel wheels. All 4 wheels are removable, allowing for even greater compactness when folded. WOW! That looks very cute. I wish there was one of these a few years ago when my kids needed boosters. We were stuck with those hard plastic ones and they were no fun!

I was looking at these booster seats when picking one out for Gavin. I went with the Phil and Teds Me Too high chair that attaches to the table. I LOVE it. It takes up lots less space than a regular high chair and they can sit right up to the table. We brought it with us to Oregon and it folds flat so it was easy to pack.
