Battle Strikers Tournament – Review & Giveaway (closed)
Christmas is only a few months away and I’ve started thinking about what I am getting everyone. My boys are fun to buy for, they like anything you get them. We have been testing out Battle Strikers in our home and it’s definitely something to add to your list if you have a boy.
About Battle Strikers
Experience the turbo power of the next generation of battling tops. Say goodbye to the strings, ripcords, even curved battle arenas; “Let it Rip” have become words of the past. Make way for Battle Strikers, the ultimate kid-controlled spinning top battling system!
Strikers are revved up at up to 6000 RPM through the Turbo Launcher and then released to do battle. You
have full control of the Strikers at your fingertips, and you can battle on any surface, anywhere. With an innovative finger controller, you drive your Striker into battle and knock opponents out of the game!
With maximized impact and increased Striker performance, the Battle Strikers Tournament Set includes two exclusive Strikers, two Turbo Launchers, two Controllers, and an arena for quick and furious battles. Kids can collect and customize all 12 spinning Strikers (sold separately) to battle with friends!
Pros: This toy is definitely innovative and fresh. Set up is fairly easy and the descriptions for putting the tops together is well done.
I love the fact that you can collect tops and they have names. Each top has a different amount of attack, defense and control.
Each top (striker) and turbo launcher have a magnetic charge. You attach them together and push the trigger on the launcher. Watch your striker start to spin and either shake or hit the top of the launcher to get it into the arena. You can then put the finger controller on your pointer and third finger and have control of your striker. This is also magnetized and a really fun feature.
This toy is for ages 6+, but Chandler got the hang of it quickly and is almost 4. What’s funny is that my husband and I really enjoy playing it with Chandler and it can get a bit addictive. I also think it is well priced at $34.99
Cons:
The arena is made of a thin plastic and at first I thought this would be a problem and not hold up. To my surprise, it’s already provided hours of fun and is serving it’s purpose well. The plastic is actually more of a pro because it is lightweight and durable.
Another small con: Rowan, 20 months, wants to do everything his older brother is doing. I feel like I have to really watch him because the launchers get going quite fast and I could see it hurting him. I suspect this is one of the reasons this toy is for ages 6+
Price: $34.99
