Lemishine is a great product for this kind of thing. sometimes though a water filter can be a great idea as well - especially if you build-it yourself. Our disposal stinks up our kitchen all the time (like right now!) but since we’re in an apartment I guess we’re stuck with it. When our microwave broke last winter, they took 4 weeks to FIX it instead of replacing it. Oh well…someday we’ll have some control!

Thanks for the tips! We had the same problem with spots and yucky caked on food with our dishwasher so I’ve been washing all our dishes by hand for quite awhile now…not fun! I miss it so maybe I’ll give this a try. I think our disposal is ok and works fine wo we will see!

I’ve used the lemishine stuff too. We all get those stupid water spots out here. It’s because the water is sooooo hard. I did notice that if I stopped using it I didn’t get spots for a few loads, and then they started to come back. So I’m hoping that the new disposal works, but if they start to come back, just be aware! I started using the Electrosol tablets with the jet dry balls, and they work soooo good! I have not had water spots for months and months ever since I’ve been using those. And I was always a cheapy generic brand detergent gal until I discovered those. Now I’m hooked, and they really aren’t that expensive.
