Baby Proofing
Who had to learn baby proofing the hard way?  That would definitely be me.  I remember when Chandler got mobile.  He started walking at 10 months and was a crazy little active boy from then on.  He got into anything and everything, broke stuff, hurt his head by bumping it and more.  I would buy random baby proofing products but only found a few that I really liked.  Plus, we were in an apartment so we couldn’t exactly screw products into cupboards or walls.  DreamBaby has a No Tools No Screws Safety Kit that includes just about everything you need when it comes to baby proofing.Picture 6

Pros: This set has 35 pieces and retails for $19.99 which I think is a great deal. When I would buy the cable locks when Chan was little, I would pay $3-4 just for one. This set includes:

  • 1 multi purpse latch
  • 1 mini multi purpose latch
  • 24 outlet covers
  • 1 secure a lock
  • 1 adhesive double lock
  • 1 angle lock
  • 4 corner protectors
  • 1 door stopper
  • 1 appliance latch

I think this set is perfect for those living in an apartment. It requires no tools or screws to install any of these items and is definitely easy to use. My favorite are the multi purpose latches. They are easy for me to get off, but not for Rowan. None of the cabinets in our kitchen have knobs, so this is a great solution for us.babyproof2
I also really like the appliance latch and we use ours underneath our stove. Rowan likes to pull this up and use it to climb so he can touch the stove. Not a good idea. This works great and is simply velcro adhesive.babyproof1

Cons:
I really wish that there were a few more multi-purpose latches in this kit. They are great for the cupboard but there are only 2 in the entire kit! I think this would be the ultimate kit if it included the door knob covers. I use those a lot and think they are definitely a great baby proofing item.
