It’s My Birthday!
I can’t believe I’m turning one! Ok, so not really. I actually turned 1 a LONG time ago, but Babes and Kids is celebrating 1 year on September 4th. I can’t believe how fast it’s gone. I’ve definitely learned a lot about blogging and myself. I’ve made some great friends through the process and have watched myself grow. Being a mom is hard work, so writing has been a great outlet for me. Blogging wouldn’t be near as fun if I didn’t have readers who visit frequently, so I’ve decided to sponsor my own giveaway to reward one lucky reader!
One of my favorite places to do online shopping is Amazon. It seems that you can find anything there. I’ve bought car seats, books, music, food, baby products and so much more.

Hi, I exist. I read. I have decided to read some of the books that are on different “100 Best Books” of …
I am really enjoying them. I have read 2001: A Space Odyssey and then followed it up with 2010,2061,3001. I have read the Sharp series based on the England / Napoleon Bonaparte wars as Sharp goes from a no-body to a high ranking officer. I am looking forward to reading the Time-Traveler’s Wife. Now that the movie is out. And when I am in the higher mode… Plato.
There are all being read as E-books and I love that I can take them anywhere and read whenever I have a few minutes without taking up a full books space in my purse.
The Amazon card will certainly come in handy to pick up some of the books that are not for free at Project Gutenberg. My first stop for E-books.
