I love chapstick and lipgloss.  I’m sure it stemmed from wanting to be like my older sister in every way when I was younger.  On any day, you will find at least 5 different types of chapstick or lipgloss in my purse.  I know it seems extreme, but it’s one of those things that a girl can never have too much of.  Softlips has just introduced a new line of limited edition winter flavors, which made their way to my doorstep. Yum!

Pros: There is a lot to offer in the winter flavor line, with each package having two lip balms. The flavors include:

  • Cherry and Sugar Cookie
  • Sugar & Spice and Vanilla
  • Sugar Plum Berry and Cherry
  • Vanilla and Winter Mint

I really liked the Sugar Plum Berry and Sugar Cookie lip balms. Good enough to eat. I remember being a young girl and eating my first tube of chapstick that Santa brought me in my stocking. I guess I know better now.
I love the way that this chapstick makes my lips feel. Definitely soft and smooth and not sticky at all. It glides on really nicely, and adds a nice sheer look. Some lip balms will get really soft if you have them in your pocket too long. The product gets warm and then you get way too much on your lips when you apply it. I didn’t notice this with the softlips which I like.
The packaging is nice and small and doesn’t feel bulky in your pocket, plus it has an spf 20 in it which means your lips will be protected against harsh winter weather.
These would make the most fabulous stocking stuffers!softlips

Cons: I had a hard time finding any cons about Softlips, mostly because I think the product is so well thought out.
I didn’t care for the sugar and spice scent, a little too much spice for me.
I think it would be a fun improvement to have some sort of taste when you lick your lips. Maybe that seems funny, but I like a lip balm to smell and taste good.

The Bottom Line: Fun holiday scents, great protection for your lips, would make a good stocking stuffer.
