I love sugar, candy, chocolate and all things sweet.  The smells of sweet treats always bring up good memories associated with those foods. I also don’t mind smelling like something sweet.  I workout at the gym pretty regularly and shower there afterwards.  I always lotion up when I am done, and it is usually with a scented lotion that smells suspiciously like baked goods.  In fact,  I have had people say that they know that I am in the room without seeing me because they can smell cinnamon rolls or cake or the likes.

So, imagine my delight when I had the opportunity to try out some products from Sweetly You,  a company that specializes in scented lotions, perfumes and bath products.  From the website:

The Products (Pros:)
The day the package arrived, it was a mere 98 degrees outside.  I went out to my mailbox to retrieve the box and opened it up immediately.  Inside, in addition to the 3 above mentioned products, there was also a package of ice cream shoppe flavored Jelly Belly’s.  The items came packaged in a plain box, but on pink.  I immediately went straight for the foaming bath butter to open it up and smell it.  Well, I opened it quickly and since it was so hot outside, I noticed that the product was completely melted and liquified and went flying everywhere.  But BOY did it smell good!  I put the lid back on and put it in the refrigerator to cool it down.

The Travel Perfume- scented in buttercream,  smelled just like cake.  Actually more like butter cream frosting.  It made me hungry and for the rest of the day, I was craving cake.  All I could envision was a white confetti cake with confetti frosting.  Thank goodness for the Jelly Belly’s, they saved the day.  When you smell the sweet scents of sugar, you WANT to eat sugar.  The perfume smell lingered on my skin for hours and by night time, I found myself at the bakery section of my local grocers buying an orange cream cake.  The perfume was THAT good.

The next day, I retrieved my sample of the Sweetly You Foaming Bath Butter from the fridge and was grateful to see that it was no longer liquefied.  Great product!  It smelled just like sugar cookies and even had little red granular sprinkles inside that resembled sprinkles you would find on a cookie.  These small jojoba granules also acted as an excellent exfoliator.  Because the bath butter contained glycerin and almond oil, it was so smooth on my skin.  It did a wonderful job of moisturizing.  The Foaming Bath Butter was not nearly as foaming as I thought it would be, but it still did the job.

I followed up the shower by lathering myself in mint chocolate scented Premium Body Lotion.  A very nice lotion that goes on easily and gets absorbed into the skin quite quickly.  The scent?  Well it smelled just like mint chocolate, which had me craving more sugar later on.

Overall, the Sweetly You products are great.  Apart from sugar scents, they also have floral scents, if smelling like food is not  for you!

The shipping costs are VERY reasonable and each one of their products is moderately priced. Overall, a GREAT deal.

Cons:
The one thing that I felt could be improved was the packaging and labeling.  I found the scents themselves to sound very exciting, but the labels, bottles and colors to be a bit on the bland side.    The company could definitely improve the presentation of the product by jazzing up the labels a bit with something more applicable to the sweet sugar scents, in lieu of using a flower.  And perhaps put a different color in the lotions to match the scent inside.  But honestly, that was the only flaw that I found with their products.
