Fairy Godmother Academy
We believe that every girl is brave, magical, creative, and unique. We know that girls possess a special power called wisdom and that dreams, and the act of dreaming, connect the girls to this power. By listening to her inner voice – her dreams – each girl can follow her own path and be what she truly wants to be. We believe that by bringing their drams together, girls can make the world a better place for everyone.
About the Book
The Fairy Godmother Academy is a new series of books geared towards the tween age group. We recieved the “Hello Dreamers” Party pack and my 3 daughters were very excited to read the book. Included in the party pack were
•Birdie’s Book (The first book in the series)
•Iron-on Transfers (for shirts or pillow cases)
•Music CD (with magical musical numbers)
•Journaling Pages
•Book Cover
•Wisdom cards
•Assorted Stickers
Our Take
My 11 year old step daughter & 9 year old daughter both read the book and my 9 year old is already asking if she can get the next book in the series which is “Kerka’s Book” (It comes out in December 2009)The girls enjoyed following Birdie Cramer Bright’s journey as she visit’s her granny “Mo” for the first time. Unlike Birdie’s straitlaced mother Granny Mo is a crazy dresser & very loud. Birdie discovers that her grandmother is a fairy God mother & Birdie herself is party of that long line of fairy god mothers.
It is a fun filled magical fairytale of fairies, enchantment & danger! A great book for girls.

There is also a website which allows your child’s imagination to soar even more at Fairy Godmother Academy.
They can make friends on the site, play games while creating your own custom clothing and beginning your unique journey into adventurine. You can also discover new characters and places.
The party pack is enjoyable for those who have read the book but I found that the girls who we invited to our little “Fairy Godmother academy” didn’t understand what we were doing as they had not read the book. It would be great to have all your party attendees read the book beforehand. I also wouldn’t recommend this book for younger readers. My 8 year old step daughter had a difficult time with it & lost interest in it very fast but then again that could just be her personality.
