Mad Style by True Jackson

Mad Style by True Jackson is a clothing line based on Nickelodeon’s hit new series, True Jackson keke-palmer-madstyle-300V.P. The series centers around  teen  True Jackson ( played by Keke Palmer) who lands her dream  job at a fashion company in charge of the youth apparel department.  I thought  it was very  appropriate that they create a clothing line based on the premise of the television show.  Pictured is the Girl’s Smocked dress with attached necklace on my daughter – sized 14/16.   We paired it with some black sparkling leggings.  My 9 year old daughter loved the outfit and received many compliments when she wore it to school. She was also quite excited to be wearing something from MadStyles and from one of her favorite television shows.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that although, it was based on a television series, there were no graphics of the main star, Keke Palmer – who plays True Jackson – plastered across the front of the clothing.

In the following picture, my 8 year old daughter is sporting a pair of black Mary Janes that have a suede texture and some cute little rhinestones. shoes 1 Because they are a neutral color, they can be paired with just about anything – leggings or a dress.  The line of clothing is sold exclusively through WalMart.

Pros:

  • A cute stylish clothing line without an obnoxious graphic picture of a teen star.
  • Comfortable knit fabric.
  • Very affordable!  Most of the clothing retails for under $14.00.
  • The separate pieces of tops, skirts, jumpers and leggings can be mixed and matched to come up with a variety of outfits.
  • Fits true to size.

Cons:

  • I really can’t think of anything negative to say about this clothing line.  My only concern is how the fabric will hold up over time with repeat washings.
