K’nex has recently come out with a new line of Sesame Street Neighborhood Collection Building Sets. They are perfect for a younger audience of children and feature characters that they know and love. K’nex and Team Mom sent us an Elmo Ice Cream Truck Building Set to review and try out.85154m-display

Pros: The blocks are cute and very sturdy. The feel like they are better quality than other construction sets that feature the same type of building block. The parts are big and easy for little hands to work with. There was also a pamphlet that came with the set that gives multiple ideas on how to build with the set. I really like this because it sparks imagination.

The set benefits children in many different areas including physical and social development as well as cognitive skills.
This set is also interchangable and works with the Police Station Building set. The suggested age is 2-5, and since I have two little boys that fall within that age range, it was interesting for me to see them take it in on different levels.

Cons: My 4 year old still struggled a little bit trying to put this together on his own. I don’t know if a year would make a difference, but I had to help him put some of it together.
We also had problems with the wheels coming off on the one side when we would build it into a car. This happened multiple times.knex2
