New Moon
I’m curious what everyone thought of New Moon if you have seen it. I was definitely impressed, and loved all of the action scenes. Plus Edward and Jacob weren’t so bad to look at.
Although there were things that were different from the book, I thought that it was really well done. The acting was better, the special effects were better. I’d love to get the soundtrack! I went with my sister to the show and we saw it in a special Edward themed theater. We walked away with a bunch of Edward stuff and it was so much fun to have a girl’s night. I started out team Edward but was loving Jacob by the end of the movie so I’m a bit torn. What were your thoughts?

I can’t wait to see this! I snuck off to watch the first one… okay, I grabbed it at Redbox one afternoon and didn’t tell my DH about it till a few weeks later. With 2 little ones I don’t get to the theater, but I did order all the books as a Christmas present to myself. Little guilty pleasure? …yes, please!

I went and saw it with my husband. We both really enjoyed it. I thought the special effects were awesome, the makeup was sooooo much better, and overall, it was just better than the first movie.
I’m not obsessed, and really, I don’t have a team, but I do think the books and movies are fun.

Ok so I have to admit I must have been living under a rock. I have not seen this or the first one. My little man has kept me out of the loop. Glad to hear you liked it. I will have to check it out. But I think I should watch the first on before this one.

If they keep Dakota Fanning for the next Twilight installment they’ll have to give her a bigger role, maybe have her hook up with Jacob, etc.

I’m thinking I must be the only woman in the US who’s not addicted to these. I’ve read all of the books because 2 friends who AREN’T the types to read them RAVED about them. Eh. I’m a fantasy/sci-fi reader for the most part and I wasn’t wild. I saw the first movie. I still wasn’t wild. I know someone who bought tickets a month in advance and got to the theater 3hrs in advance and I just don’t get it. *sigh*

Jacob was SO much better looking in this movie with his muscles and his hair cut short! I’ve never been a big fan of Edwards looks. I think I like Jacob better after this movie too! I love that pic of you with the fangs!

I loved it! Though I must say before I was “Team Edward” and I am soooo “Team Jacob” now…. I nearly fell out when he took his shirt off when she fell off the bike…. amazing. I just love Jacob, and eventhough Taylor was the “Nick Kid” I think he did a really great job of the Jacob character. It has a “cliffhanging” ending – I actually SAID the last line before Edward did – at which time Mike threw popcorn at me! LOL I was afraid they were going to end it WITHOUT him saying it because it was such a long pause… set up for the next one though, which is always good.
My only gripe was the preview for another Robert Pattinson movie right before New Moon – I thought it kinda took away from the excitement of Edward to see him as another character 60 seconds before he was Edward, ya know?

Just saw it late last night and loved it. There was one scene I wish they would have put in though. The one where Jacob kisses Bella and she punches him. I was definitely a Jacob fan after this movie.

I loved it! I wasn’t expecting much because New Moon was my least favorite of the books- but wow, who wouldn’t love looking at those two guys for 2 hours???

All of my friends saw it on opening night! They actually said they were disappointed. I loved the first novel and movie, so I’m curious to see how New Moon turned out. I heard it ended horribly? Guess I’ll have to find out for myself.

Well, I saw it opening night in a theater that showed twilight first then new moon.
And I definitely saw the difference in special effects and acting.
I also know what you mean, I started LOVING Jacob in the middle of the movie but as soon as Edward came back I was drooling over him. I am SO in love with the character.
So I am 10000000000% Team Edward. He is so smexy!

I saw it last night with my girlfriend and LOVED it!
I haven’t read any of the books or seen the first movie so this was my first introduction to any of the twilight stuff and I may be hooked.
The audience was full of teens so it was funny to hear all the “oh gods” and ooh and ahhs when the boys were shirtless or during the almost kissing scenes. Made me feel 17 again
Great movie, fun, entertaining…I may become a twihard yet
