Tonka’s Chuck my Talking Truck
With only little boys in our home, it’s obvious that we have lots of cars, trucks, trains, and just about anything on wheels. My boys don’t have a toy dump truck in any shape or form, so I was thrilled that they were going to get to try out Tonka’s Chuck my Talking Truck. Not only did he have a bed to haul around toys, but he’s also interactive.chuck-my-talking-truck-tonka

Pros: This toy was definitely well thought out. Chuck’s bed and bumper move around, he says 40 different phrases, and he comes when you call him!
I really like that Chuck’s body is soft rather than a hard plastic. It makes him easier to pick up and more durable. If you have any of the smaller Chuck and Friends cars, you will know what I am talking about when I say the body is soft. Chuck has been thrown, stepped on, and pushed around. After all of that, he is still in perfect condition.
Our entire home is carpeted except for the kitchen of course. Sometimes toys with wheels don’t move as easily across the carpet. Not Chuck. He still has lots of speed when moving across the carpet.
Chuck also comes with a storybook which is a nice touch.
He is recommended for ages 2 and up and both of my boys loved playing with him.

Cons: All around, Chuck is a bit loud. I wish there were a quieter setting because it feels like he’s almost shouting at you at times. I also think when his bed moves around, it sounds loud. You may have noticed that in the video posted above. He also requires 3 C batteries which can cost a lot to replace. It seems like we have a LOT of toys in our home that take batteries so I would suggest getting some rechargeable batteries, it really saves you money in the long run.
