Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk
Chocolate milk is a staple in our house. At any given time, you would find chocolate milk in our fridge. My boys prefer to drink chocolate milk over plain, and it’s a good way for them to get their calcium. Horizon has just introduced a new organic lowfat chocolate milk with DHA omega-3. I’ve been anxious to try it out as I’ve never tried an organic chocolate milk. However, it’s new enough that I haven’t seen it at my local grocer yet. I am definitely keeping an eye out for it though, and will buy a half gallon when I see it.
About Horizon Chocolate Milk
Horizon has been producing quality organic products since 1991. Their products are organic which means that they are made without antibiotics, pesticides, and cloning. Cows that the milk comes from have not been given growth hormones either, which I know is of concern to some parents.
This chocolate milk contains DHA Omega-3 which helps in brain development for kids. It also helps in healthy function of the brain and eyes which is very important.
Chocolate Power Smoothie
I found this recipe on Horizon’s website, and thought it sounded delicious. I am going to be trying it out when we get the chocolate milk.
• 1 cup Horizon Organic® lowfat chocolate milk
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1/2 banana, sliced
• 2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 Tbsp. protein powder
• 1 cup ice cubes
Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth and thick.
