Wordless Wednesday – Bunks

About a month ago, hubby’s parents brought us down bunk beds for the boys. We took down the crib which made me a bit sad, but we really wanted to use Rowan’s room as an office. The boys are doing really well with the transition, we just can’t put them down together. We put Chan in the bunks and Rowan in our bed to sleep, and then move Rowan once he’s asleep. Something else that’s cool – these are hubby’s bunks he and his brother had when they were little. His dad made them. So it’s fun to see our two little boys sleeping in the same bunks that hubby and his brother slept in 20+ years ago. They are pretty sturdy and in great condition.

Tiff is the creator of Babes and Kids. She has two little boys, Chandler (5) and Rowan (3). She works part time as a clerk in an ER, and is currently studying Ultrasound in school, so there is never a dull moment. So fun! That’s awesome they’re the same ones that your hubby and his brother used. Jordan has a bunk bed in his room and someday him and Jackson will be in there together. Jordan’s so excited and asks if Jackson is growing up all the time so he can sleep in his room with him!

Oh those are SO cool!! I love hand made furniture! And we have always loved bunk beds for our girls when they shared a room. They eventually we able to go to bed at the same time, the “new” just had to wear off a little! lol good luck!

I understand taking a little one out of a crib, I wanted to keep my middle child in a crib for as long as possible – he’s a wild one! But he is in his big boy bed and soon my 18 mos old will be too I am sure. would love bunk beds, but the top bunk scares me, especially with TWO boys .. they are trouble together
