Road Trip
It’s summer! You know what that means right? The kids are out of school and families are gearing up to go on summer road trips. Although our summer road trip isn’t until August, I’m excited to go somewhere with family, and explore new places. While road trips can be fun, they can also be boring for kids if you are in the car for long period of time. And we all know where that leads, right? Hitting, crying, complaining….etc. So why not be outfitted in a vehicle that provides comfort and fun for the whole family?
Volkswagen Routan
Before last week, I honestly hadn’t heard a lot about the Volkswagen Routan. My dad currently drives a Volkswagen, I believe it is a new Touareg and it’s a really nice car. So when I heard about the Routan, my interest was immediately peaked.
The Routan isn’t your average mini van. While it has a third row of seating and is big enough for the whole family, I feel like it has that crossover look to it. It doesn’t look like a minivan which I think hubby would love. It includes some awesome features like 12v power outlets, JoyBox™ Entertainment system, UConnect® Bluetooth® system and roof rack. Yes, I’m drooling. It looks like it would be absolutely fabulous to travel in.

Unfortunately, money has really played a role in us not doing much this year but I will definitely do what I can to get my kids out and that includes going to the beach which is a couple of hours away and also to the awesome wildlife sanctuary!

nowhere exciting- unemployed for over a year and a half, so free things are our choice! We do have two weddings this summer, one for a friend and one for family, so that should be fun.
