So I’ve had my old theme for A YEAR. I think that’s a decent amount of time in the blogging world. I’ve been looking around at themes, and really I’m terrible when it comes to customizing and such. So I’m going back to the basics. Do you like the new clean look? There’s a theme I really want, but it’s $70, so it will have to sit on the back burner for a bit. We’ll give this freebie one a test drive to see how I like it.

UPDATE: So I bought the theme! Do you like it? I’m still trying to figure out how to get my customized header at the top though….

Tiff is the creator of Babes and Kids. She has two little boys, Chandler (5) and Rowan (3). She works part time as a clerk in an ER, and is currently studying Ultrasound in school, so there is never a dull moment. She loves writing and connecting with other moms, spending her days with little boys, being a wife, running, swimming, and shopping.

I don’t have a problem with the box… but I am in Firefox. I like the look. Simple, good contrast and easy to use. Hope you get the chance to try the $70 look… always fun to “dress up”.

Ashley, there should be a thing that says “2 comments” or how many there are for a post. I’ve viewed it in Safari and Firefox and both work. I’m hoping this template is just temporary, I’m in the process of revamping my logo and theme.

I like the clean, paired-down look and everyone is into frugal these days. Honestly – I liked your old format also. People follow blogs because of what you are doing – the reviews, deals, giveaways. Sometimes blogs get lost in their themes and we end up with colored font on top of beautifully patterned pages. People skip reading when it becomes a struggle to make out words against patterns but still oooh and aaah about how artsy and beautiful the blog is.
