Moment You Knew From e.p.t
Do you remember the moment you found out you were pregnant? I know I certainly do. Both of our boys were plannned, and we got pregnant very quickly with both of them. I remember reading A LOT about trying to conceive before we started. I watched my cycle, and when it was time to test, I tested and got a positive with both of the boys. The line with Chandler was dark pink right from the get go, so there was no mistaking being pregnant. The one with Rowan was not quite so dark. I thought I could see a very faint second pink line when I held it up to the light and hubby thought I was imaging things. Two days later, I tested again and got that beautiful dark pink line.
Over the years, I’ve kept my pregnancy tests. Some might think it’s weird, but they hold sentimental value for me. e.p.t and Mom Central recently sent me a keepsake case to help me remember the “moment I knew.” It will not only help me remember and be a great keepsake, but it will help clear any confusion in case pregnancy tests get misplaced. Confused yet? I keep a personal family blog, and have for over 3 years. I posted this story in July of 2008, when Rowan was just 6 months old. I thought you might find it humorous.
July 6, 2008
“Last night we tried to fix the pump in our washing machine. After lots of sweating by Marshall & me, we thought we had it fixed. I threw a load in only to see it start leaking from a different area. Since Marshall flew out to Minneapolis today I was desperate to have a working washer. We went to church and Marshall came home to work on the washing machine while I went to the rest of our 3 hour meetings. I came home and Marshall told me he thought he’d fixed it and was running a load of laundry. The he just stared at me for a minute.
“Are you pregnant?” he asked.
I was totally caught off guard to this question but I could tell he’d been thinking about it a lot. Maybe fatherly intuition, but he was definitely searching my eyes and my expression to get an answer. I couldn’t imagine what would make him think that I was. I know in the past I have bought a pregnancy test thinking I may have been. We’ve gotten pregnant very quickly and easily with both the boys so sometimes we are paranoid about a “surprise.” He led me back to the bedroom and I started laughing. As he was packing he found a baggie with a couple home pregnancy tests in it that were positive. Call me weird but I’ve kept my positive pregnancy tests with both boys. I’m sure you are all grossed out thinking I’ve kept tests I’ve peed on, maybe it’s sentimental…lol. Anyways, when we were moving I put them in a drawer in the bathroom. I’m thinking Chandler pulled them out because Marshall found this little bag in a pair of shoes that he was taking on his trip and thought it was my “creative way” of telling him I was pregnant. Sitting here by myself, I still burst out laughing when I think about the whole situation. And I think Marshall was a little unnerved at the whole idea. Believe me, I am plenty happy with the two beautiful babies I have now and do not plan on having another one for quite a few years. For the record – I AM NOT pregnant
”
So as you can see from my story above, a keepsake case is exactly what I need. I’d love to know how you felt the moment you knew. Did you keep anything to help remember the moment? And in case you are interested, you can visit Test Accurately to see how to get a keepsake case of your own.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of e.p.t and received an e.p.t. keepsake case and a $20 gift card to JustGive.org to facilitate my review.
