Our Rides
As I type this, we have two vehicles that have a significant amount of miles. Although I’d love to be driving something brand new, that’s not really realistic with our budget, so it’s important that our cars last. Right now we have a little commuter car that has 135,000 miles on it that gets driven a lot. Our other vehicle is an SUV that has 137,000 miles on it.  We are actually on vacation right now, and just drove our SUV about 900 miles, so we definitely need it to be dependable.

I must admit that when vehicles get over 100,000 miles, it makes me a little nervous that they won’t be dependable. However, I know if we take good care of our vehicles, including regular maintenance, our vehicles will have a longer life.

Keep My Ride Alive
Jiffy Lube wants to help you keep your ride alive, and has a great resource to help you do that. Their new Facebook page is a place for drivers who hope to get the most out of their vehicles. Visitors can cruise the site to browse photos and stories from other high-mileage drivers, and share their own stories and photos.

  • A recent Jiffy Lube International survey reveals that though drivers universally acknowledge that regular maintenance can help extend the life of their vehicle, many are looking for more out of their maintenance experience.
  • More services and convenience are top priorities, with nine out of 10 people surveyed agreeing that having other key vehicle parts and fluids checked during their regular oil change is the most convenient way for them to help preserve their vehicle’s value.
  • Nearly one in five Americans believe the most important thing when having their oil changed is being able to have multiple services performed in a single visit, and more than half (59%) want to have their oil changed in 30 minutes or less.
