Thomas the Tank Engine
“Thomas the tank engine rolling along…..” Yes, that was me singing the Thomas theme, and I’m sure you do too, or at least get it stuck in your head if you’ve got a Thomas fan in your home. Being the mom of two little boys, Thomas is a well known figure. We started collecting the Take Along tracks when Chandler was about 3 and they’ve been a hit. However, when Rowan started showing interest in the tracks at about 15 months, we had to be careful of the small pieces, that he didn’t break the tracks, and so on. He wanted to play with Thomas but they weren’t quite appropriate for a toddler that young. So you can imagine how excited I was to learn about the Thomas Wooden Railway Early Engineer line.

Roundabout Station lets little engineers pickup and deliver passengers in a fun and rewarding playset! Have Thomas stop at Maithwaite Station on his way to finish his work. After passing Maithwaite, Thomas stops at the crossing gate; make sure the tracks are clear before you lift the lever to let Thomas head off. Trying It Out
These small, chunky Thomas toys are perfect for little hands, and toddlers aged 18 months and up. Thomas is easy to grip and bigger than traditional Thomas trains. The track is also large and easy for little hands to put together. This was really nice as Rowan could easily put them together. He tends to have a hard time putting Chandler’s tracks together on the Take Along Sets, and these are very easy for him. Plus, they stay together well. Overall, it’s a super cute set, and I’m excited to build upon what we have!
