The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned as a mom, it’s that kids are always open to new shows, especially when it involves a character they are familiar with. We always read books at bedtime, and The Cat in the Hat is one that is in our collection and has been read many times. NCircle came out with a dvd earlier this month called: The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That: Wings and Things. I knew the boys would be excited for this new show, Chandler especially.
About the dvd
I didn’t realize before that this is actually a series on PBS kids. My boys hadn’t seen it before, so the entire thing was new to them. As I sat down to watch with the boys, I quickly realized that we would be learning all about nature and science while we Go! Go! Go! On an Adventure!
The fun part is, there were lot of fun facts that we were all learning, and that surprisingly Chandler is retaining, all from a cartoon.
In the show, when the kids have a question or want to know how something works, they travel around in the Cat’s Thingamajigger to get a hand’s on experience.
My boys have watched this dvd over and over, and I love that a well known character has been made into an educational show for kids. We give it two thumbs up!
The dvd was released on September 7th, which means is is available now, and is 60 minutes in running length.
