How Do You Say That? (Idaho/Utah)

A lot of the blogs that I frequent started doing this fun blog post to hear what different people say in different parts of the country.  Basically you pronounce a list of words and answer a list of questions.  After watching quite a few of these, it was really interesting and funny to me out people say things.  I’ll give a little bit more background in the vlog, but I was born and raised in Idaho, and have lived in Utah for 2 1/2 years. Here’s my video. (Yes, I’m all ready for bed, and in my jammies. 🙂 )

Here are the list of words to pronounce:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

The Questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

What do you think?  Does it sound funny or normal to you?  Also, please leave your link below if you are participating in this blogging vlog!

That’s fun! Ha. I actually say 3 of the words you pronounced different from you! I call it a potato bug too, I always called it pop growing up, and I had no idea what it was called when its raining with the sun out either!
