Slow Cooker Chili

Slow cooker chili is definitely the best way to make chili, in my opinion. It’s simmering all day long and that fabulous smell wafts through the house. I also love making chili from scratch because it allows me to add as much or as little of a kick as I want. Another slow cooker comfort food.

Slow Cooker Chili

Delicious slow cooker chili
  • 1 lb ground beef (I use 93% lean)
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can kidney beans, with liquid
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1 can white beans, drained
  • ½ tbsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • green onions, chopped
  • shredded cheese
  1. Brown beef, garlic and onion in skillet until no longer pink.
  2. Place beef in slow cooker and add all other ingredients except green onions and shredded cheese
  3. Stir, cover and cook on low for 8 hours
  4. Garnish with green onions and shredded cheese
