Slim-Fast Woman of Wow!
As I told you a week ago Wednesday, I am a Slim-Fast Woman of Wow! I’m incredibly excited about this opportunity as Slim-Fast is a product I really love and believe in.

As a kick off for the Women of Wow program, I was able to attend the Studio Wow event in New York City last week. I was able to meet 4 of the other 9 bloggers participating and have my own little wow moment. I met with celebrity stylist Joey Maalouf, fashion stylist Jacqui Stafford, cooking guru Robin Miller, Slim-Fast’s Dietician Ali Auerbach and photographer Nigel Barker. I was able to get some one on one with how I could look and feel my best. Over the next four months, I’m going to share my Vow to Wow journey with you, and give you some tips and tricks that I learned at the Studio Wow event.  Here’s the all star lineup the day of the event!

My Vow To Wow
You may be wondering why I am participating in this Slim Fast Vow to Wow program. I’ve been told on many occasions that I don’t need to lose weight, but then again I’m not quite at my target of where I want to be either. I’m 5’9″ with a small bone structure. All through high school I weighed around 125. I was very physically active with dancing, swimming and more. Once I went to college, I put on about 10 lbs. Go figure, right? It was probably good for me, and I felt really great at 135. This was my weight when my husband and I got married. My first child I packed on around 60 lbs and lost all but the last 5. My second child I gained around 50 lbs and lost all but the last 10. I sat around 150 for quite some time and then I started running, a LOT.  Enough so that I was crazy enough to run a full marathon.  (I think I’ll stick with half marathons from now own. 😉 )

My brother and me after the Top of Utah Marathon

Even though I’ve taken up running, I haven’t been good about really counting calories. I eat pretty healthy but have never thought too much about what I take in. I have a few different goals for this vow to wow program which will last 4 months. I would love to get back down to 135, but I do have more muscle than I did before, so I think 140 would be optimal for me! I also have signed up for a half marathon in April with a goal time of 2 hours even. My fastest time to date is 2 hours and 11 minutes so this will be a stretch for me. I’m so excited to get rid of my last little bit of weight and meet my half marathon goal time. I’m going to use Slim-Fast along my journey to meet my goals.
Here is a weigh in from last week, my starting weight:

Can’t wait to see your journey. I’m so inspired by your running.

Wow, you’re 5’9? I never would have guessed that, you always look so thin and petite in photos. I’m sure you’ll shave off the few extra pounds, not that I see them anywhere 🙂

I think your goal is very obtainable. I have never tried slimfast. I am trying to loose my last 10 pounds from babies and I think I will give it a try also.

I love Slimfast shakes & I’m using them as part of my 2012 New Year’s Resolution to lose some weight put on by the holidays. My favorite flavor is Cappuccino Delight. My mother has been using Slimfast to trim down; as long as I can remember. They have come a long way since the aluminum cans & metallic taste.

I have a shake almost every morning because I love the taste and if I don’t, I know I won’t get breakfast! ( which is not good for me!)

enough of those marathons, and you won’t even need the slim fast 😉 (though it tastes great) 🙂

I love Slim Fast. Although I’ve never used it for dieting, I enjoy the taste of it.

I think it’s so super yummy too! And I love that it has lots of great vitamins and minerals in it too.

I love SlimFast and have been stocking up with the recent coupons. I am 66 and will not be one of those old fat ladies that can’t do anything for herself or anyone else.

I may be the only person who has never tried slim fast! Great job Tiffany 🙂

I secretly really love slim fast. I grew up with my mom always having that and toast for breakfast and I always tried to sneak a drink of her slimfast.

I totally get your secret love. I could chug like 5 of the vanilla shakes in one sitting…but then that would defeat my purpose. 😉

Wow, I have to say, 145 at 5’9″ is already REALLY amazing! 😀 I am 135 at 5’3″ and TRYING to lose the weight! I gained around 50 pounds during my pregnancy, partly due to the extreme edema I suffered. My baby girl is almost 10 months and I still feel so fat 😛

Don’t beat yourself up about it. It took me over a year to lose MOST of my weight with my boys. Never fully got it off, but then again pregnancy changes your body so much anyways. That last little bit is just really hard to get off. 10 months is a fun age, I bet you are enjoying your little girl!
