Although I’m a bit of a health and fitness nut, I am tempted by certain foods and drink. My drink of choice when I indulge is soda. There was a point a year or so ago when I was working two graves a week. I wasn’t getting enough sleep and I had to stay awake all night long at work. After one particularly hard night, I looked back at the amount of soda that I consumed and it was close to 100 ounces. I was mortified to say the least. I tried to rationalize it in the back of my head saying I needed the caffeine and that it was diet soda, when in reality I knew it was bad for me. I also knew that I just needed to be getting more sleep. Since then, I only drink soda maybe once or twice a week and am trying to limit it even more than that. Since I do really like the taste of it, I need to make it so it’s a sweet treat. I found this infographic from diet blog and found it to be incredibly interesting and enlightening. So the next time you go to crack open a soda, think of this infographic and reach for a glass of water instead.
