Holiday Baking With Maytag
Ever since I was younger, I’ve loved to bake. I’m not amazing when it comes to baking, but I think I can hold my own in the kitchen. November through the end of December is definitely my favorite time of year to bake. From Thanksgiving pies, to Christmas cakes and comfort foods, it’s the one time of year that I really let my diet slide. It’s worth it though.
This year, I’ve been able to experience baking like I haven’t before. My Maytag Range/Oven is simply amazing. I have the option of regular baking, but my oven also has a convection bake which gets things done a little quicker and a little more efficient. I have to admit that I’ve never had a convection oven before so it’s taken some trial and error, some research, and a few batches of burnt cookies. Once I got the hang of it though, I wondered how I had ever done without it. I’ve made some fabulous goodies this year, including Red Velvet Cake Pops, and Peppermint Meltaways.
Our family depends on the oven and range at least 5 days out of the week. Whether it be through baking or making dinner, it definitely gets used. One of my favorite features is the huge window on the front. I can turn the light on and really see how my food is cooking or baking without opening the oven door. I’ve had ranges before that have a window and a light, but the window is usually so tiny that it’s hard to see anything. Another feature that I love is that there is a warming plate area on the back middle part of the oven. There have been many times where I’ve burnt something on my range because I had it on low with the intentions to just keep it warm.
My oven also has a self cleaning option. With the self clean, the oven does all of the work, I just wipe it down when it’s all said and done. Nice, right? I kind of know what I didn’t do before my Maytag Range/Oven, it’s been an awesome appliance thus far. I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Kitchen Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with a Maytag kitchen appliances set, including a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and range to facilitate my post. #maytagmoms

I am in the market for a new stove and I was glad to hear your review of the Maytag. I will investigate the different models because I love the warming area…this would be very handy.

What a beautiful range! I’m sure it helped you to produce yummy food over the holidays. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an oven window as large as that one! That would sure make peeking at the food that’s baking a lot easier.

I’d love to have a new oven. I have to curtail my baking greatly b/c my oven is extremely old and I can’t afford another, and it isn’t worth putting more $$ into the one I have. I would bake up a storm if I could, esp b/c I like entering recipe contests.

I have to say this oven and your baking looks so great! I too love to bake, and I have made a lot of great Christmas treats this year. I have a new oven, but I did not get a convection oven. I heard that they really are great at baking. I am sure that this Maytag range oven is a terrific product!
