With the new year, there’s always going to be resolutions. One that a lot of people make is to get in shape. Fitness is a huge part of my everyday life, my favorite being a good run. I thought I would share some of my favorite accessories and fitness products and then host a fun giveaway.
I don’t have a New Year’s Resolution to get into shape this year. It’s because I already feel like I am in good shape. My exercise regimen consists of working out 5-6 times a week for 45-60 minutes at a time. Over the past few years, there have been some awesome products that I really love and can’t live without. I’m even going to be giving away a few of them at the end of this post. If you are looking to jump-start into fitness this year, here are a few good accessories that won’t break the bank.
Contigo AUTOSEAL Water Bottle, 24 Ounces: Sometimes you are only as good as the bottle of water that you have with you. My friend actually gave me one of these water bottles for Christmas, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite. I love the straw function, and you can store it by flipping the lid to prevent unwanted germs. Amazon has them for $9.99, but you can get a 3 pack at Costco right now for $14.99.
Smartwool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks-Silver/Black-S
If you are getting into running or looking to take it up, invest in good socks that are NOT cotton. When I first started running a lot, I was getting blisters all of the time and it was painful. My mom told me to use the Smart Wool Running socks and I haven’t had a blister yet when I’ve worn them. I’ve run many half marathons and 2 full marathons in them. You might think that the price tag is steep at around $15 for one pair of socks, but I’ve had some for 2 1/2 years that I use multiple times a week and they have held up wonderfully. Invest in a pair of smart wool socks and say goodbye to blisters!
GoFit Contoured Single Vinyl Coated Kettlebell With Bob Harper Training Dvd
I got my kettlebell in September when I sprained my ankle. I was at a loss of how to exercise when I couldn’t run. I bought a the GoFit Kettlebell with Bob Harper DVD and was sore ALL of the time. It’s such a great workout and the exercises were pretty stationery which didn’t put a lot of pressure on my ankle.
Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 – This is SUCH an awesome workout DVD. It’s circuit training with cardio and strength mixed in. I have over 20 different workout DVD’s and this is definitely one of my favorites. Plus you can pick it up for just $7.99.
I have a lot of other favorite running, fitness items that I will be highlighting over the year. Some of those include my Garmin Forerunner, which I’ve had for almost 2 years now and my Fitbit, which I just got in November. Watch for those posts in the future!
