Documenting Your Pregnancy
This is my 3rd pregnancy. I was pretty good at documenting my boy’s pregnancies, but I didn’t start until 16-18 weeks with both of them, and my first belly pictures weren’t until 18 weeks or so. I told myself that I would do a really good job documenting this one. I love being able to look back to see milestones, ultrasound pictures, how much I weighed (not), and how I was feeling.
I decided that I really wanted to vlog the entire pregnancy and then put it onto DVD when I was done. I am still planning on keeping a journal on the side, but I also thought it would be fun to vlog week by week. I’ve done really great so far and started at week 8. If you want to keep one, use your webcam, phone or video player.
I created a vlog of my vlogs (ha!) and also tips to help you if you aren’t quite sure where to start when it comes creating a video diary.
If there’s one thing that I could encourage, it would be to be consistent! You definitely won’t regret that. Also, start early. I started at 8 weeks but wish that I had started even earlier. I found out that I was pregnant at 3 weeks and 3 days and wish that I had done a video of the day I found out. I was beside myself and took 3 tests that day. The line was even so light that my hubby wondered if it was real. Pregnancy is an exciting time and one that will be fun to remember. If you are interested in following along with mine, I’ll be posting weekly updates and pictures.
