Versatile and Modern Fisher Price Cribs
We are getting VERY close to being done with baby girl’s nursery! My mom finished the beautiful bedding and we got our nice Fisher Price Kingsport Crib, which is available at Walmart.com. Fisher Price has all sorts of cute stuff that will help your nursery come together. I have some decor that I need to get up on the walls, along with a little bit of organizing and we will be there!
Being that I am pregnant with my first girl, I knew that I wanted a very girly nursery and a white crib. I’ve been looking at cribs for quite some time and when I saw the Fisher Price Kingsport Crib, I knew it would be perfect for her room! We used a different crib with both the boys and we ended up getting rid of it about a year ago. It really had worn down and there were some things that were broken on it. I knew that I wanted something a bit more durable this time, but was also looking at cribs within a certain price point that wouldn’t break the bank.
It would be an understatement to say that I was overjoyed when this crib arrived. My sister and I assembled it together in about an hour and although it was somewhat time consuming, the directions were easy to follow. What was included in the box and our assembly is below.
One thing that I have to give a shout out to Fisher Price for was actually organizing the bolts and other materials into nice packaging. A lot of times in assembly, there is a bag of nuts, bolts and other things that you just dump out and have to sort through. This made putting the crib together so much easier! The instructions are also included on the portion that holds a mattress up. That will be nice to have if or when we move or when we need to take the crib down.
The crib feels pretty sturdy and I love the details. You can adjust the mattress as baby gets older and bring it farther down. There is an optional guard rail that you can purchase for conversion to toddler bed but that didn’t come with the crib, it’s separate. The just the right height feature of the crib is nice and I don’t feel like I’ll have to bending down into the crib to really pull baby out. That said, I’m pretty tall and this wouldn’t have been an issue for me even if the front of the crib had been higher. It’s made of a New Zealand pine and feels pretty sturdy. I can’t comment on how it holds up over time, but I will update once we’ve been using the crib for a while. You can have a child in it up to 50 lbs and converts from a crib to a toddler bed to a headboard and foot board for a full sized bed. Assembled dimensions are: 57.08″L x 30.12″W x 47.05″H.
Walmart.com has this Fisher Price crib listed at $226 which is definitely affordable when you start comparing it to similar cribs on the market. Fisher Price cribs are available in a variety of styles and colors with versatility to convert to a toddler bed. I am in love with how beautiful our bedding looks with our Fisher Price crib. Isn’t it darling? Be on the lookout for our full nursery reveal, coming soon!
