I received a sample to facilitate this review.  All opinions remain 100% my own.

After I had each of my babies, my skin had a tendancy to be more sensitive, dry and acne prone after the hormone drop. I definitely attribute it to hormones as each of my kids were born in different seasons and my face reacted the same way. I’ve used a lot of different facial regimens and have a few products that I like but am always open to trying something new.

Belli offers a skincare line for expecting and new moms that is formulated especially for them.

I received 3 different products to try out:

  • Anti-Blemish Face Wash
  • Healthy Glow Facial Hydrator
  • Acne Spot Control Treatment

Anti-Blemish Face Wash
The Anti-Blemish Face Wash is made without salicylic acid which can be over drying and should be avoided during pregnancy.  I already have dry skin and the salicylic acid can sometimes make it even drier if I use it on a regular basis. It is also an ingredient that should bInstead, Belli uses lactic acid to gently cleanse and exfoliate acne prone skin. It is free of parabens, hypo allergenic, and no artificial dyes. The actual face wash is a clear color and has a nice citrus smell. It foams nicely which I like to have with a cleanser. It does a pretty decent job of cleaning my face, but I still do get some makeup left behind which my toner takes off. The product isn’t over drying and makes my skin feel soft. I really liked this product and at $22 for 6.7 ounces, it’s actually cheaper than the facial cleanser I was using previous to it. It’s one that I would continue to buy.

Healthy Glow Facial Hydrator
This product is a lightweight daily moisturizer.  It includes vitamin C, grape seed oil, and chamomile to help soothe and moisturize skin.  One thing that I didn’t like right away was the packaging.   It is supposed to have an airless pump, but I had to pump it upside down and couldn’t control as easily how much moisturizer was coming out.  Since it has a somewhat runny consistency, it came out quickly and I ended up using more than I wanted.  After only a month of use, this is about done.  Usually I can make my moisturizer last for 2 months.  Once applied, this feels really nice on the skin.  It is light weight and absorbs quickly but I also noticed my skin felt a bit dry about 15 minutes after the application.  I would apply it again and then it was fine, but I did have to apply it twice.  It does make your skin feel silky soft.  I like this product but wish there was either improvement to the packaging or the consistency so you could control how quickly it came out.  The price for the healthy glow facial hydrator is $32 for 2 ounces.

Acne Control Spot Treatment
I used the Acne Control Spot Treatment occasionally when I had a blemish that wouldn’t go away. This is also a product that is non drying but speeds up the process of getting rid of those unwanted blemishes. It absorbs into the skin quickly and I usually use it before bed. A little goes a long way and I’ve not even used 1/3 of the tube. The spot control treatment is $15 for .5 ounces.

Spot Treatment Facial for Pregnant moms

If you have sensitive skin, are expecting or a new mom, this is definitely a line worth checking out. It is one that I would buy again. They also have baby products which I am looking forward to trying. All products can be purchased at the Belli Skincare Website or in store at places like Ulta.
