This is a partnered post with Mini Pupstars.

Hands down, my boy’s favorite thing to do is play the ipad. Both of them get some time to play it each day and they love getting new apps and games to play. Lately, they’ve been into apps where you can design, create and share. Mini Pupstars is a new app from Matoto for iPad that allows you to be creative by styling your own 3D dog.

Mini Pupstars

About the app:
Mini Pupstars encourages creative play and helps to develop fine motor skills with the player choosing one of four 3D dogs to style by growing their hair, washing, cutting, shaving and spraying colour before adding accessories and taking a photo on the red carpet. The game features brilliant 3D graphics with the player able to rotate the dog to style from all angles to really get creative!

After I downloaded the app, my 8 year old immediately started designing and playing with his pup. The first screen shows you the dogs you can choose to play with. He chose a dog and got to work.

There are 3 different screens of items that you can use. There are tools like combs and scissors to groom your pup, color to spray and fun accessories to finish up the look of your pup. Once your dog is ready, you click the camera and it shows your dog on the red carpet! Watch the video below to see the app in action.

Not only can you take pictures of your dog, you can rotate to view all around your dog, so it really is like 3D. In order to rotate around your pup, you want to make sure to not touch the dog directly, but touch outside the area of the dog. We figured this out the hard way, because we kept trying to touch the dog and it wouldn’t rotate. I wanted to try this cute app and created a pretty fun looking dog. What do you think?  Kinda funny, right?

Mini Pupstars is available through iTunes for only $1.99. It’s a great creative app for kids and fun for all ages. I would give this app a 4 out of 5 rating!
