I received a party planning pack from Charmin to facilitate this review. All opinions remain 100% my own.

Entertaining Guests
Last month, we moved into our new house. We went from a 3 bedroom townhome, to a large 5 bedroom home that is perfect for entertaining. We used to wonder where we would put everyone if we had a family get together or had friends come over. With a larger space, I imagine that we will be entertaining a lot more. When you are entertaining guests, you definitely want to be prepared. We had a fun party with our friends for New Year’s Eve. We get together every year and it’s definitely become a tradition. Here we are with our friends this new year’s eve.

We had lots of yummy food, played games, chatted and let the kids play. It was definitely very fun! I’m no expert when it comes to entertaining, but there are certain things that are on my check list.

1. Plan ahead:  When hosting guests, planning ahead is a must. I get a head count of guests so that I know what I can plan for.

2. Buy food: Plan your meals, the food and go grocery shopping. Give yourself adequate time to prepare your meals. You can pick up things like veggies trays, packaged drinks and easy fix snacks like popcorn to cut down on the prep.

3. Purchase Other Supplies: One supply that you might not think of is toilet paper. We buy Charmin on a regular basis and have it on hand. Nobody wants to be a guest in a house where the toilet paper runs out. Charmin is now Roto-Rooter approved and safe for septic tanks. It has a new design which allows for easier breakdown.

4. Activities:  Make sure that you have activities planned for adults and kids so that everyone has enjoyable time.

After it’s all said and done, enjoy yourself and don’t stress. Happy Party Planning!

Do you have any tips for party planning?

My tip is stock up on ice. We have an ice maker but it never fails that if we forget to go get extra ice we always run out.

This goes along with your planning ahead, but also prepare as much as you can ahead of time so you can enjoy your time with your guests. I am guilty of being on the go and doing a lot when we entertain.
