Valentines Day Lunch Ideas
I love doing themed food on holidays for my kids and hubby. It makes the day a little more personal and adds a fun touch, letting them know that I care. I picked up a pie press from Target for only $5 and made calzones for lunch. You can also buy a Wilton Heart Shaped Pocket Pie Mold here from Amazon
if you can’t find one at Target. My 5 year old was enthralled with the fact that it was a heart and had a fun time helping me make them. It’s easy enough prep that you can get the kids involved. Once we had them ready, they only had to bake for 10 minutes!
- 1 premade pizza crust
- ¼ cup tomato sauce
- ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- pepperoni or other toppings
- Roll out pizza crust. If you buy a pre-made crust, all you have to do is unroll it
- Use a pie press to cut the heart shape from the dough. If you don't have a pie press, you can use a knife to cut 2 heart shapes that are about the same size.
- Put toppings into one size of the pie press or one size of the heart and then press the two sides together.
- Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes or until crust is golden.
- Share with your favorite Valentine!
Do you make holiday inspired food for friends and family?
