A Mother’s Love
Just over eleven years ago, I became a mom for the first time. I can still remember holding my oldest in my arms and feeling an instant connection and love for him. I now have four beautiful kids and love them more than words can describe.
Join Aflac in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer
As a mother of those four beautiful kids, it’s easy for me to get behind companies such as Aflac. Their philanthropic mission is to eradicate childhood cancer and they have helped lead that fight since 1995. They have donated more than $111 million towards research and treatment and their efforts continue to march forward.
It is your turn to get involved and help further this cause with Aflac’s new #Duckprints campaign. With their new online game, Build Your Own Balloonicle, you can create your own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloonicle featuring the Aflac Duck. It’s a fun game my kids even wanted to get involved in. Choose accessories for your Aflac Duck, gather coins on the parade route and then share your experience on social media! For each game experience shared on social media, Aflac will donate $2 towards childhood cancer. (up to 1.5 million) Ready to play? Visit the Aflac Balloonicle Online Game.
We will also be watching the 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as the Aflac Duck Balloonicle makes an appearance for the sixth year. I honestly didn’t know what a Balloonicle was, but it is basically a combination balloon and self-propelled vehicle, which means that the duck doesn’t have to be attached to any strings. Pretty cool, right? The Duck will be outfitted in a blue scarf and you won’t want to miss it! The fun also continues all season with a festive holiday plush that you can pick up only at Macy’s. I’ll be watching for the duck when I do my Christmas shopping as it would make a perfect stocking stuffer! Net proceeds of the plush duck will be donated to the nearest participating children’s cancer facility from where it is purchased.
If you aren’t already excited about what Aflac is doing for donations, I have one more exciting way that you can help out and it’s fun as well. Duckchat is an app available on in the Apple iTunes App Store and the Google Play store. It features fun animated gifs and emojis that you can text, e-mail or share on social media. For every download of this app, Aflac will also donate $2! (up to $1.5 million) Below you can see screenshots of the fun gifs and emojis available in this app!
Aflac pays cash benefits for policy holders who get sick or injured. It’s a pretty cool program, so if you haven’t checked them out, make sure to!
Go leave YOUR footprint in the fight against childhood cancer!
