Pros: Poo-Pourri uses a natural deoderizer to get rid of stinky diaper smells. It includes natural essential oils such as Bergamot, Lemongrass and Grapefruit. The smell is so good, and the lemongrass particularly sticks out to me. To use, you simply spray 6-8″ away from a soiled diaper and dispose. On a few different occasions, I left poopy diapers in the garbage can the entire day. Sounds gross, but I needed to see if the product really works. I left the top off the garbage can, and to my surprise, I didn’t notice the smell all day. Towards, the end of the day however, I did notice the poopy smell starting to come out again. I think that’s pretty good for it to mask the smell for that long! I also used this on the inside of my garbage can after I took out the garbage and noticed it helped get rid of other smells as well. Poo-Pourri also gets two thumbs up for being bio-degradable and non-toxic.

Cons: I feel like I’m constantly on the go, and sometimes it’s hard for me to remember to “spray” a diaper every time I throw it in the garbage. We are also on a tight budget, and I find it a bit pricey. For $12.95 you get 4 ounces, and for $19.95 you get 8 ounces. I think if I hadn’t tried the product before, I might not have bought it simply because of the price.
That being said, a 4 ounce bottle has up to 200 uses, which is actually pretty cost effective.

The Bottom Line: Natural odor eliminator for soiled diapers.

Price: $12.95 for 4 oz, $19.95 for 8 oz

This is a YMMV, (Your mileage may vary), but Pampers & Huggies were 30% off at my local Target. I picked up 2 boxes of the Pampers Baby Dry, both in size 4 for $20 each. They both had 126 diapers in them, making them about $.16 per diaper. These normally retail for $28.99, so it’s a great deal. They were on like 6 different end caps in the store, so make sure you look well if you decide to go in. If you have any Pamper’s coupons, it makes the deal even sweeter. Between this and the Amazon diaper sale, I’m set on diapers for Rowan for about 6 months.

For a rundown of prices and sizes, visit this post at slickdeals.
